Mr. John P. Sganga launched Essensa (f/k/a GNYHA Alternate Care Purchasing Corporation) in 2008 to
offer group purchasing and supply chain efficiency services to non-acute care, institutional and commercial
markets nationwide. Today, Mr. Sganga serves as Executive Vice President for GNYHA Ventures, Inc., where he
is responsible for the non-acute care business operations of GNYHA Ventures, Inc, serving as President and
CEO of Essensa, Innovatix, LLC, and the Innovatix Network, LLC.
Mr. Sganga has close to 30 years of health care experience, seventeen of which, focused on non-acute care purchasing.
Before joining the Greater New York Hospital Association (GNYHA) staff, Mr. Sganga was the Senior Director of
Financial Operations at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center for over two years, and prior to that he worked for
Ernst and Young's Management Consulting Service for six years.
Mr. Sganga has served on the Executive Board of the Metropolitan Health Administrators' Association (MHAA) since 1992,
and was President from 1995 to 1996. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE),
where he won a Young Healthcare Executives' Regents Award in 1995. In addition, he served on the Board of the
New York Association of Ambulatory Care from 1994 to 1995.
In January 1999, Mr. Sganga was recognized as one of New York's rising stars in Crain's New York Business
"40 Under Forty" column, and in April 1999, he was awarded the Alumni Torch Award by New York University for
outstanding contribution in the field of public service. In 2004, the Metropolitan Health Administrators'
Association (MHAA) bestowed him with the "2004 Award of Distinction" for his commitment to healthcare on a
regional and national level. Most recently, Mr. Sganga was selected as a finalist for the 2008 Ernst & Young
Entrepreneur of the Year® Award, New York Metro Area Healthcare Division.
Mr. Sganga contributes a significant amount of his time giving back to the community. He is a strong supporter and advocate
of Resources for Children with Special Needs, where he served on the Board of Directors for three years. He also
holds a position on the Board of Directors for Shop Well with You, a not-for-profit organization and body-image
resource for women surviving cancer, their caregivers and health care providers. Mr. Sganga is also the Treasurer
of the Edgemont Community Council, where he has served on the Board of Directors for four years.
Mr. Sganga holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public
Service at New York University, with a concentration in Health Services Management.

Dr. Walter S. Geba is Senior Vice President of Contracting Services and Chief Pharmacy Officer of
Clinical Pharmacy Services for Essensa. He is responsible for the development and maintenance of
contracting strategies, as well as expanding relationships with manufacturers, distributors and
wholesalers.
Dr. Geba brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in contract management, operations, and pharmaceutical
care to Essensa. Prior to joining the team, he served as Corporate Director of Pharmacy Business Development
with Continuum Health Partners, one of the largest integrated health care delivery systems in the New York
metropolitan area. He also led pharmacy operations at both Beth Israel Medical Center and Montefiore Medical
Center in New York City.
Dr. Geba holds a Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy from St. John's University, a Master's Degree in Pharmacy
Administration from Long Island University, and a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Florida.
Mr. Dave J. Mancione is Senior Vice President of Field Services for Essensa. In his role, he is responsible
for the development, implementation and management of the Essensa field team. He also oversees various strategic
initiatives including directing the growth of the Essensa membership base.
Mr. Mancione brings over 20 years of progressive leadership and business accomplishments in the health care industry
to Essensa. Previously, he served as Chief Executive Officer of SpecialtyMed Alliance, a group purchasing
organization serving the vision care industry. He was also President of Allied Healthcare Association Services,
where he managed the development of a new joint venture of 25 national, state, and metropolitan hospital
associations.
Mr. Mancione received his Bachelor's of Science. in Clinical Nutrition and Life Sciences from the State University of
New York at Oneonta and holds a Master's in Business Administration from the Long Island University in Brooklyn.
Ms. Cynthia Radford is Senior Vice President of Customer Care for Essensa. In her role, Ms. Radford provides
leadership to the customer care division, in addition to her responsibilities of managing the Essensa contract
portfolio and member-focused initiatives.
Ms. Radford has over 21 years of experience in the specialty distribution and pharmaceutical industry. Prior to
her role at Essensa, she was part of the original Business Development team of US Oncology, a Physician Management
Company, with over 900 medical oncologists. There, Ms. Radford was responsible for building relationships among
hospital outpatient centers and physicians to build free standing cancer clinics. While in this role, she managed
the payer arrangements with each cancer center, as well as all practice management programs.
In addition, Ms. Radford launched the first Generic equivalent to Taxol for Ivax Pharmaceuticals, managing the marketing
program and forecasting production of the product's release in Europe, South America, Canada and the United States.
Radford earned her B.A. from Boston College.
Lisa Sokol

Ms. Lisa Sokol is currently the Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications for GNYHA Ventures, Inc. In her
role, Ms. Sokol is responsible for the brand development, collateral material management, corporate events, advertising
programs, public relations, and alternate care-focused Government Affairs initiatives for all GNYHA Ventures
companies, including Essensa.
Ms. Sokol brings over 27 years of experience with group purchasing organizations (GPOs), starting her career as
a medical/surgical Contract Negotiations Specialist with CSS/COHR in 1983. Prior to her role with GNYHA, she
served as Group Vice President for Innovatix, where she strategically and successfully built out and led the
Communications & Public Relations, Customer Care (Account Management), Membership, Technology, Medical/Supply
Contracting, and Corporate Training departments. In addition, she was instrumental in the development and
management of the Innovatix Network, LLC, a subsidiary of Innovatix, focused on providing contracted reimbursement
rates under the implementation of Medicare Part D in 2005. Ms. Sokol also served as the Vice President of Marketing
for Group Purchasing Services for Premier, Inc. and Senior Vice President of Materials Services for Mercy
Resource Management in Naperville, Illinois.
